Using Cogninara

These terms apply to Cogninara’s flashcard creation, organization, discovery and study features, community features and academic tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to agree to these terms under the laws that apply to you, or have the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian where required.

Public academic tools can be used without an account. An account is needed to save personal decks and progress. Availability of optional features, such as generation from notes, depends on service configuration and usage limits. These terms do not create a paid subscription or payment obligation.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, use only an account you are entitled to use, and protect your sign-in credentials and devices. Do not share passwords or sign-in codes. Google and email sign-in are handled through Supabase; third-party services have their own terms. Contact the operator if you believe your account has been misused.

Your content and sharing choices

You retain your rights in content you create or upload. You give the operator permission to host, process, display and copy that content as needed to provide the features you choose, including backups, recovery, study and sharing. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload or import material, including images, audio and notes.

Publishing or sharing a deck makes it available according to its visibility settings. Cogninara’s sharing features let recipients save independent study copies. Revoking a link, making a deck private or deleting your original does not remove existing copies. Do not publish material you cannot lawfully share, and respect the rights of other creators when using discovered decks.

Acceptable use

Do not use Cogninara to break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, harass or impersonate people, distribute harmful or deceptive content, or upload malware. Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls or usage limits, or disrupt the service. Follow your school’s academic-integrity rules; study tools are not permission to cheat.

Study content and tool accuracy

Flashcards may be written by you or other users. Generated drafts, where available, can contain errors and must be reviewed before use. Calculators and citation tools depend on the information you enter and may not match every institution’s rules. Verify important results with your course requirements or an appropriate source. Scheduling and progress indicators support practice; they do not guarantee retention, grades, admission or other outcomes. Cogninara is not a substitute for professional advice.

Availability, backups and offline study

Features may change or be unavailable because of maintenance, faults, connectivity or third-party services. Keep your own exports of important study material. Offline study covers only an explicitly saved session, with device/browser limitations. Unsynced actions may be lost if you clear browser storage, sign out or switch accounts; conflicts can require manual attention. Rich media, Learn, Test and uncached content are not available offline.

Privacy and ending use

The Privacy Policy describes account information, study records, service providers, sharing, retention and user controls. You can stop using Cogninara, sign out, export your work, and use available content deletion controls. Account deletion currently requires a request to the operator; there is no self-service account-deletion button. See the policy for retained media, backups and copies shared with others.

Access may be restricted where necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. These terms do not promise a particular moderation process or an automated account-deletion deadline.

Responsibility and legal rights

The service is provided as available. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the operator does not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free content or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, guarantees or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. No particular governing jurisdiction or company identity is asserted before the operator details above are confirmed.
